Q. I have a Telebetting account, how can I obtain a password & pin number so that I can bet via the Internet. Will I need to re-register?
A. You will need to re-register to bet on the Web site. What you must do is click Join Now on the home page then click on Register. The rest is as easy as A, B ,C........
Q. Is it possible to cancel a bet?
A. The only way to cancel a bet is by contacting our Telebetting department on 08600 77678.
Q. I do not know much about betting odds. Please explain if your offer is 5/10 or 5/1 what do I get in return if I play R100?
A. At 5/10 if you bet R100 you will win R50 plus your R100 back so you total payout is R150. At 5/1 you would win R500 plus your R100 and your payout would be R600.
Q. Hi, how do I place a bet with my mobile phone?
A. Simply browse to www.mwos.mobi on your mobile device and you will be redirected to our Mobile site. Login using the same username and password details as online and you can place a bet on any sport, anytime, from anywhere! Q. I can log on but can't place a bet.
A. Please check that you have sufficient funds in your betting account or check that the event you are trying to bet on is in fact open for betting. You will not be able to bet unless you have submitted your FICA documents (Proof of ID & Proof of Residence).
Q. How do I make a bank transfer to credit my account? What do I use as a reference?
A. Our banking details are on your activation email and on our Terms and Conditions page. You need to use your surname and your account number as a reference, the account number is also on your activation email.
Q. I haven't used my account for a while. How do I get my account number?

Q. I want to bet online, now that I am logged onto my account. What do I need to do to start betting?
A. You can make a credit card payment and start betting immediately. Please acquaint yourself with the conditions around using a credit card. You can also use SID (Secure Instant Deposit) which links to your online banking profile & credits your betting account instantly. These options can be found by logging in, going to “My Account” and selecting Deposit.
Q. I registered a day or so ago, with all my details. I have still not received my password.

Q. How do I retrieve my mobile betting password?
A. This is sent to you when you register online. If you are not sure what it is, please contact our Call Centre on 08600 77678 for assistance.
Q. Could you please give an indication as to when the amount I withdrew from my betting account will show up in my bank account?
A. If it was a bank transfer it will reflect the next working day at the latest, if a credit card it can take up to five days to reflect.
Q. I’ve forgotten my password or username.
A. You can retrieve your password by clicking here https://www.worldofsport.co.za/LostPassword.aspx . Your password will be sent to your registered email address. Please enter the email address you use when logging in. For any further assistance please phone our Call Centre on 08600 77678.
Q. Can I change my logon details?
A. Yes, after you have logged in, click on the MY PROFILE tab and then click on the MY USERNAME heading. There you will be able to update your Email address and a One-Time-Pin will be emailed to your new Email address. You must enter this One-Time-Pin on the next page, only then will your Email address be updated. You can also update your password under the MY PASSWORD heading and simply follow the steps required to change your password.
Q. I am trying to open a new account and it says my ID number is in use.
A. You have previously opened an account with us, so please call the call centre and they will reactivate your old account.
Q. I would like to withdraw some money from my account. The sum is R2 000. What steps do I need to follow?
A. Once you are logged in to you account, go to My Account & click on the Withdraw tab, specify the amount and click the submit button. The payment will be done on the next business day. Please make sure your banking details are on our system. If your banking details have changed please send us an email notifying us and we will update your details. Alternatively log onto your internet betting account and you can make the relevant changes there.
Q. If I place a sports bet online and it says potential payout is 700/1000 what will my payout be will I still get back the initial 1000 plus my winnings and also are sports bets tax free?
A. You will win R700 and you will get your original R1000 back. If this is purely a sports bet, (meaning it has no horse racing element to it), the R700 will not be taxable.
Q. What is the maximum amount of money I can win on a single day with Marshalls World Of Sport?
A. R2 000 000.
Q. Please could you advise me as to why my account is still pending?
A. If you haven’t been FICA verified then you won’t be able to log in. Please phone our Call Centre on 08600 77678 and one of our operators will assist you.
Q. What’s FICA? Why do I have to send in my private details?
A. FICA is short for the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, a preventative measure taken by the government to fight crime and money laundering. We are required by the WCGRB to collect FICA documents (Copy of ID, Proof of Residence) from each client in order to verify your identity and prevent any dishonest activity.
